SOLEMAR SOLAR SHIP

Our ship, a 12-meter-long catamaran, has room for 60 passengers and is rendered unsinkable by filling its two hulls with expanded foam.

It reaches a maximum velocity of 6 knots thanks to its solar generators with state-of-the-art panels, providing 4,650 Wp of power; its 48 batteries with 1,000 <Ah capacity; and its two electric engines, each with 4,800 W of power.

Its power-independence can last indefinitely in sunny conditions, and up to 150 hours without sunlight. The energy used is completely free and inexhaustible, not reliant on any other source of outside support.

When compared to a similar boat with gasoline-powered engines throughout its useful life of 25 years, our ship eliminates the emission of about 7,214 metric tons of C02 into the atmosphere and averts the consumption of one million liters of fuel.
